I love kale chips and they are always
a hit at a party! They're easy to make and better for you than potato or corn chips, and you still get that satisfying CRUNCH! Bonus - kids love them too!!
what you need ~
a hit at a party! They're easy to make and better for you than potato or corn chips, and you still get that satisfying CRUNCH! Bonus - kids love them too!! ~ one large bunch of kale (cut off the stems and save those for sauteing or add to your smoothie)
~ approx a tablespoon of olive oil*
~ sea salt
*you can try this with coconut oil too, first brought to room temp so it's not solid.
what do do ~
~ Preheat the oven to a low heat (220-250F)
~ Rip up the kale leaves to "chip size" or a little bigger, and put them in a large bowl.
~ Toss in the olive or coconut oil and massage the leaves well with it, making sure you cover all of the leaves.
~ Lay the coated leaves out flat on a baking tray (single layers, don't overlap)
~ Sprinkle with seasalt.
~ Bake for about half an hour.
~ Take out of the oven and allow to cool - they will get more crunchy once being taken from the oven, don't overcook!
That's it - share 'em and wow your friends!
